{14.1.12}

I used to wear 2 rings on this hand. Both were white gold.
When I became pregnant with Charles my body seemed to decide that it didn't like white gold anymore. In the 3 years that have passed I've tried to wear these rings again but each time they just irritate my skin leaving the area underneath the ring sore and blistered.

Today I thought about getting another ring to sit on a finger that hand. My mum popped round and I spotted that she had 2 of my favourite rings on. One Sapphire wishbone and one rose gold band. I asked if I could look at the rose gold band and try it on. She reluctantly took it off and gave it to me saying that it would be too big. Except it wasn't and it fit me. Infact its a size too small probably but I like my rings to be a bit too small so they don't have any chance of falling off. With that she said I could keep the ring as long as I look after it and never take it off. I must treat it like my wedding ring. Agreed.
This ring is around 90 years old and was my great nannies wedding ring. I think its beautiful and am honoured to wear it.
